Mission
Hello, my name is Bruce Fisher I own and operate Penns Creek Angler. 2008 will mark my 30th season fishing Penns Creek and its surrounding waters. How time "flies" I only wish I had another 30 to enjoy her beauty and hatches. Fishing Penns Creek and her tributaries has been a great adventure and wonderful teacher for three generations of my family. I live on Penns Creek and own a fly shop because I love the land and the people and the fishing can be as good as it gets at times. The mission at Penns Creek Angler is to supply fishermen with quality equipment and useful advice to make their trips more successful. My goal is to share my life long love of Penns Creek with you and offer some help when you need it.
My fly tiers have many years of experience directed specifically towards the hatches on Penns Creek.Over the years they have designed new and innovative patterns as well as reinvented some of the old standards. All of these flies are available at the shop and some we will be highlighted at our fly tying classes over the winter. We offer fly tying classes for beginners, intermediates and experts.
To add to this PCA will sell a private line of fishing rods that will start with top quality blanks and components that will be assembled with the highest degree of care and quality workmanship. From the most affordable to the most complex rods you will see the how our commitment to detail distinguishes our rods from others. Each and every custom rod that comes from Penns Creek Angler will be a labor of love.
Penns Creek Angler also have variety of factory rods that are hand selected to match the fishing conditions in Central Pennsylvania. We have a full line of brook trout rods as well as slow action wet fly rods, faster dry fly rods and powerful big water rods. All of our rods are affordable and carry a life time warranty. Penns Creek Angler is a Cortland Pro Shop and we carry a very wide selection of their quality line's.
With Penns Creek being a stones throw away from my cabin I can tell you “this is hatching” its on my window screen and the water level looks good. If the creeks in bad condition I'll direct you to another creek that will fish better. I also have a small feeder steam that feeds Penns outside my shop and this provides useful information. My goal is to update the website as much as possible with current hatch information, but if its not updated just call the shop. At Penns Creek Angler we don’t just want to sell you flies and equipment we want to give you as much information as you need so you can enjoy your time on the water. At the shop or on the phone we will take the time to talk to you and make you part of the Penns Creek Family of anglers.

If you see a young person having problems please try to help.
My hope is that Penns Creek will gain some needed friends.
A creek without a few good friends is a dead creek and Penns needs friends.
Think about joining your local T.U. chapter it may turn out to be the best thing you could do for a sport that gives you so much.
